Student Narratives

I got this banner from a teacher who didn't want it anymore. It said "Never settle for less than your best!" I felt like "Never settle." summed is up enough for me. On the first day of school I asked students to fill out a packet with information about themselves and one of the questions asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I don't think this is the most important question to ask students. "Who do you want to be?" is probably more important, but it is interesting to see students' career goals. You can see that students hope to be zoologists, chemists, track stars, safety inspectors, criminal psychologists, graphic designers, and much more! I hope to use this wall as a way to celebrate our diverse dreams and motivate students when they are settling for less than their best. I'll let you know how that goes :)
