The image above sums up many thousands of words I could use to describe my philosophy on education. I want to peel back the walls of my classroom and awaken the creativity students carry within them. I want to pull them out of the monochromatic world of traditional schooling and throw them head first into the adventure of true learning.
To understand my classroom, you have to understand me. I am the winner of a chalk competition in southern France, the wife of an incredibly handsome actor, a lover of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, a woman who will jump off into the unknown, and the owner of an incredible rainbow clown wig. My classroom is informed by my many quirky idiosyncrasies and interests, and I encourage my students to bring their own beautiful weirdness to the community we build together. I have a sick obsession with living life to the fullest and do my best to pass that along to everyone who crosses the threshold of my classroom. I help students write stories for their lives that are worth telling and inspire them to do so by living a life that is never boring. Welcome to my classroom!
